Man I think thats a bit harsh eric. He did have two cards in a row that werent great although they werent horrible either and he had still been very profitable. Personally I was a big fan of his blog. Not just because of his input but because of the discussion that went on there also. There seemed to be a small but very nolagable group of followers.
hey guys, I actually made a post about it... just said I had decided to shut it down. It is just eating up too much time for me and going a direction I never really intended.
I left the post up up all day, and made pick on Rockhold over Bradley on Strikeforce. But then I was getting a ton of hate from anonymous posters and a few others who are sad I am leaving them (Lilly). So I pulled the plug early evening instead of letting it sit all weekend like I planned.
I directed everyone here, and to Invest with Sports where I am still posting my picks (including the rockhold pick). I am not sure why everyone is crying. You would think I owed these guys something.
It had nothing to do with losing on Marquart and Stevenson... which really only set us back 10u total. I tried explaining in the beginning that I was going to lose, and that we were going to experience negative variance. But some people just won't listen. On my blog, I was up 16u just on the picks since late November. So that is a damn fine ROI, using any metric. So it had nothing to di with that, despite what others want to think.
In any event, I will continue to follow here, and will post all the same stuff in the forum at investwithsports.com ...
I might revive the blog and make it for members only too. I like the comments and community we had going...
Hmm fair enough. I don't really get what you mean by saying it was going in a direction you never intended though. To me it seemed to be growing in a good way (except for the 1 spammer). I guess it's time to go back to the junk on sherdog.
^^ I never really had any intent of having an internet following. I also deleted many comments, and was recieving a lot of email. Because of my anal personality, I feel like I need to respond to every comment. but just seeing the hate outpouring Friday is more than enough to convince me that I have done the right thing.
In any event, I have decided to revive it and make it private- I am going to keep it smallish... I already have your email so I will send you an invite, as I value your input.
The blog is open again temporarily just to announce that I am going private community.
